WHAT DOES THE NAME KOTAMOON CREATIONS STAND FOR?
* I will answer this question first. My Full name is Dakota Moon Tuck, Byron (My husband) and all my Friends call me Kota- So the business was named after me Kotamoon Creations.

About Us
We are a Small (and I mean REALLY SMALL- just the two of Us!) Family owned business that my husband and I started in 2000. We hand make every metal item that ships out. From the cutting and grinding to the powdercoating you have our personal assurance that it is top quality.
We live in the tops of the Utah mountains on the border of Idaho. We live outside of a small town on five acres surrounded by trees. I am a botanist by trade and had spent ten years managing a local greenhouse. I am 32 and Byron is 40. I had planned on quitting my job and starting my own greenhouse. However, I was in an accident and broke my back and neck. While I was home recovering I needed something to occupy my time. Byron encouraged me to come out to the shop and he taught me to weld, use the plasma cutter and color with heat. My husband worked in the steel industry, and he had been doing some sculpting in his spare time for quite awhile. By the time I recovered I was ready to quit my job and do the artwork full time. After six months back at the greenhouse, I decided to make the move to come home permanently. With me at home things really started to take off. Byron enjoys working on the "nuts and bolts" of the artwork and he also does much of the new design work. I am do the " customer service" end of things, shipping, e-mail and help with the design and construction of our products. We work extremely well together and our skills compliment each other well. We love being out in the shop together and bouncing ideas off of each other.
Most of our spare time is spent improving our property, and planting new gardens and fruit groves. I still have plans to start a greenhouse eventually, but right now I am enjoying sculpting.
We both love nature and spending time in our garden and working together on our artwork. We also enjoy spending time with Byron's six beautiful children. Since starting our business we have added two little girls to our Family- We were blessed in 2004 and in 2006 and 2008! We also have added a son-in-law a new daughter in law and a three new Grandbabies. We are constantly coming up with new ideas and trying new things with our art. Our product line will be constantly expanding. We hope you enjoy our Creations as much as we do! We Especially hope you enjoy the addition of our newest line- the Wall Words. This look is becoming all the rage and is a great addition to any home. |
